Do you know a music that can keep me warm?

George / “Alone in the Country Heart”

One of my all-time favorite songs. I love how slow-burning and drawn out this is—-until the world stops on its tracks and everything comes together in a gorgeously piercing string-laden climax. The simple sweetness of Suzy Mangion’s voice is enchanting.

Suzy Mangion / “Ohio the Homeland”

Suzy Mangion is a musician from Manchester, UK. She is half of the duo George (not to be confused with the awful Australian band of the same name) and has been a frequent collaborator of bands with a penchant for dreamy sad music such as Piano Magic & Arbol.

This song is all about the vocal harmonies and the beautifully piercing countermelodies that collide against each other towards the climax.
